Your Summer Skincare, Suncare & Haircare Rundown
This post has been a labor of love. A lot of research. A lot of testing. And a whole lot of fun. I've been so excited to share this post with my readers. Summer is clearly here. Says my skin and hair post #LakeHouseWeekend (and the 100 degree days this week...sigh). As much as I tend to keep my makeup routine minimal in the summer months, I think my beauty routine might double. My skin gets so dry. My hair takes a beating from the chlorine pools and lake water. And let's not forget about the constant battle to keep from burning (again, those pasty girl problems).
Which is why I've spent the last two-weeks compiling a list of my favorite go-to summer skincare, suncare and haircare products. I truly hope you enjoy!
Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick: Smells like coconut heaven on my face. What's not to love.
Pacifica Beauty Mineral SPF 50 Face Stick: Applied as a base before makeup, or just as is. This face stick provided all the protection I needed from a day in the Texas sun.
Sun Bum SPF 30 Original Sunscreen Lotion: This is a long time sunscreen favorite of mine. And typically what I use for the entire family. It has less of a sunscreen smell to me. Think more sweet and coconut.
Bare Republic Mineral SPF 30 Citrus Cooler Sunscreen Spray: Hints of citrus make this my personal go-to for a day in the sun and water. None of that sunscreen smell for me! And I tend to hoard this all to myself (no kids hands).
Beekman 1802 Hello Sunshine Broad Spectrum SPF 30: Although technically not listed as a facial sunscreen, I love to use this under my makeup. Shhhh. Don't tell anybody I told you, but it makes a really great facial primer too.
Pacifica Beauty After Sun Spray in Blood Orange: One of the newest sun products to the Pacifica brand. This after-sun spray has just the perfect amount of fragrance. Light and cooling. Always a win in my book.
Little Barn Apothecary Coconut & Mint Cooling Mineral Mist: Simply amazing...the best words one can use for this little summer treat. Use it after a long day in the sun, use it to cool down and refresh while you are in the sun. It's a perfect treat to keep in your bag.
Evian Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray: I've used this product every summer since I was in my teens. It went in all my sports bags, my gym bag, my beach bag. And now I use it for the family on hot days. A quick cool down for the entire family.
Sun Bum Cool Down Hydrating After Sun Lotion: Key word here is going to be HYDRATION. My skin is in serious need after a long day in the water and sun. A huge plus for this mom of three...It's also my kids favorite post swimming.
Bare Republic Milk & Honey After-Sun Serum: I think my favorite thing about this post-sun serum is it can be used on the face and body (I didn't have to worry about it clogging my pores). It's light but also leaves me feeling hydrated for hours post sun.
Sun Bum Tinted Lip Balm SPF 15: It's no secret that I have a deep love of Sun Bum products. But this lip balm provides just the hint of color I want, with the touch of protection I need.
Sun Bum SPF 30 Mineral Tinted Face Lotion: The perfect product for the girl who likes to go natural (especially in the summer months). I have fallen in love.
Pacifica Beauty Mineral Lip Balm SPF 15: Lip coverage is a must when I am in the sun and water all day. And this lip balm from Pacifica does just what I need it to do.
Beekman 1802 Hello Sunshine Pure Goat Milk Lip Screen SPF 15: Being able to throw this little gem in my bag during the summer months has been amazing. And there is just something about that goat milk. Beekman 1802 has it down.
Bare Republic UV Protecting Conditioner: This is the real deal. My hair takes a toll after a day (or two) in the sun and water. This conditioner not only smells AMAZING but also leaves my hair soft and manageable post sun.
Herban Essentials Towelettes: Blemish fighter, breakout buster, burns & scrapes best friend, bug repellent, itch stopper, germ killer, makeup remover, refresher and de-stressor...This towelette pretty much does it all. It's like Mary Poppins bag in towelette form.
